Asymchem was formed in 1995 as primarily a catalog business featuring novel heteroaromatic compounds and other unusual molecules of interest to drug discovery programs. The catalog business remains an integral business activity, however Asymchem has evolved into a valued supplier of advanced chemical intermediates and API’s for the pharmaceutical, biotech and drug discovery industries. With a growing staff that now exceeds 600 degreed chemists, Asymchem uses cutting-edge technologies and modern facilities to prepare complex organic molecules ranging from a few kgs to multi-ton quantities. Although many of these targets are prepared using chemistry from a technical package, Asymchem scientists are skilled at process improvement as well as the development of new synthetic routes. The company's headquarters are located in the RTP area of North Carolina, and its one-hundred percent owned research and manufacturing facilities are located in China.
