Morrisville, NC, USA, February 1st : Asymchem Laboratories, Inc, a leading research-based contract manufacturer of API’s, intermediates and Drug Products to the pharmaceutical industry, with sites in the U.S. and China, is pleased to announce the recent award by Roche R&D Center (China) as the Most Valuable Partner.

The award was presented in Shanghai, Roche R&D Center (China) Ltd., on January 28th, 2010. Dr. Hao Hong, CEO and Theresa Cheng, Global Sr. VP Business Development of Asymchem were invited to the ceremony. The award was the first in an annual series to be presented to high performing API suppliers in CMC work. Dr. Chen Li, the CSO and Vice President of Roche R&D Center (China) Ltd presented the award to Dr. Hao Hong “Although as a new partner to Roche R&D since 2009, Asymchem has impressed us with its high-quality R&D and efficient manufacturing work in API and DP supply within a very critical timeline”, said Dr. Chen Li.

During the ceremony, Dr. Ren Yi, Senior Director of Drug Supply of Roche R&D (China) also gave a speech.  “The steady growth of Asymchem’s business at Roche is the result of their successful execution of each project, ability to achieve R&D speed targets, high technical proficiency, excellent customer service attitude, and hard-working of each project team. We are very happy to have a partner like that.”

Roche uses a quantitative/qualitative supplier performance assessment process with substantial data. This award has both recognized Asymchem’s high standard in CMC work but also recognized Asymchem as the strategic partner with Roche R&D (China).
